Accommodation – middle category – Youth unions There are associations in Delhi that admit tourists based on gender: YMĆA (Young Men’s Christian Association, Christian Men's Youth Association) and YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association, Christian Women's Association). YMCA Tourist Hotel (*311915), Jai Singh Rd, opposite the Jantar Mantar, he is'nt bad. The hotel has gardens, pool, a common room, there is hot and cold water in the bathroom, the restaurant offers European dishes, Indian and Mughal cuisine. Hotel, regardless of, what the touts say to travelers arriving in Delhi late in the evening, is open around the clock. YWCA International Guest House (*311561), Sansad Marg 10 (Parliament Street), has a good position, near Connaught Place; air-conditioned single / double with bathroom costs 300/500 INR (plus 10% overhead); breakfast set in the hotel restaurant: 45 INR.
YWCA Blue Triangle Family Hostel (*310133), Ashoka Rd, block of Sansad Marg, is less known; is in the distance of okoto 10 minutes walk from Connaught Place. The hotel is well kept, clean and has a restaurant.
Connaught Place i rejon Dźanpath
There are several mid-range hotels around Connaught Place and Janpath. Janpath Guest House (*3321935), Janpath 82-84, is located below the tourist office. It is reasonably well-kept and clean, very friendly service, which attracts many visitors. Unfortunately, the rooms are unimaginably small and most of them have no windows; one / two with air-cooler: 220/250 INR, with air conditioning 400/450 INR.
Hotel 55 (*3321244; fax 3320769), section H, Connaught Circus 55, it is well designed and has air conditioning; single / double with bathroom and balcony: 475/675 INR. The drawback of the hotel is bad service. Alka Hotel (*344328; fax 3732796), section P Connaught Circus 16, has a good position; rooms with air conditioning cost money 850/1050 INR. Most of the rooms, which is very typical for hotels in this area, there are no windows. Prices in the Metro hotel (*3313856), section N, are shaped similarly to Alka, and the place is better, than it seems at first glance.
Another
To the east of Connaught Place are two private little hotels. Nice atmosphere and friendliness of people working there compensate for the slightly inconvenient location.
Master Paying Guest House (*5741089), New Rajendra Nagar R-500, 20 INR for access by tutor rickshaw from Connaught Place; located in a quiet residential area. The hotel is run by the family; owner took care, for this place to have a homely atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and airy; on the roof terrace; two 250 INR-550 INR, in the summer 25% discounts. At the hotel you can order meals and rent a car even for longer trips.
Yatri House (*7525563), Rani Jhansi Road 3/4, opposite the Panchukin Marg intersection (Artery 3) i Mandir Marg, about 1 km west of Connaught Place, it is quiet and safe. It is situated among trees and surrounded by a lawn, with a small courtyard at the back, has moderate prices, large rooms with bathrooms, looks spotlessly clean; one/two: 550/650 INR, room with air conditioning: 700 INR. The owner is a nice and helpful man. In high season, reservations must be made in advance. You can hire a car from the hotel for sightseeing tours, and also book airline tickets.
Accommodation – the most expensive
Most of the hotels of this type are concentrated around the city center. There are also some in Chanakjapuri, district of diplomatic missions, located halfway between the airport and New Delhi city center.
Among the top class hotels, but still moderately priced, it is worth mentioning the little one, but a good Nirula's Hotel (*3322419; fax 3324669), section L Connaught Place, right next to Nirula restaurants and snack bars; one/two: 850/1050 INR. Advance booking recommended.
Hotel Marina (*3324658; fax 3323138), section G, outer roundabout of Connaught Place, pleasantly surprises with its interior. The hotel looks gray from the outside. Most of the rooms have windows; singles / doubles: 1015/1450 INR (Included breakfast is included); surly service.
4-star hotels Despite the assurances, the hotels listed do not have swimming pools:
Hotel Ambassador (*4632600; fax 4632254), Sujan Singh Park, a few steps south from Delhi Gate. The hotel is small, ma 75 rooms, good vegetarian restaurant, coffee shop, bar and… standing astrologer! Single / double from 1075/1500 INR; credit cards from major banks accepted.
Hotel Connaught
(*344225; fax 310757), Bhagat Singh Marg, just east of Connaught Place, offers meals in its restaurant, car rental and 24/7 service. Rooms from 1300/1800 INR, breakfast is included in the price.
Hotel Diplomat
(*3010204; fax 3018605), Sardar Patel Marg 9, southeast of Rasztrapati Bhawan, is a small hotel with 25 rooms, restaurant and bar. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, color TV and telephone; 1090/1550 INR.

Hotel Claridges
(*3010211; fax 3010625), Aurangzeb Rd 12, south of Rajpath in New Delhi; is not new, but very comfortable. It has four restaurants, swimming pool and travel agency; singles / doubles from 3000 INR.
Imperial Hotel
(*3325332; fax 3324542), Janpath, near the city center, is a nice hotel, built in the old style, with a huge garden. Although located in the center, it is surprisingly silent. The rooms are not the most expensive, bargain costs 2150/2300 INR.
Hotel Park
(*3732477; fax 352025), Sansad Marg (Parliament Street), has a very good location right next to Connaught Place. The hotel invites you by its swimming pool, bookstore and shopping mall; rooms: 2800/3100 INR.

Hotel Ashok
(*600121; fax 6873216), Chanakyapuri 50 B, has 571 rooms and is a "city within a city" among ITDC hotels. It offers literally everything, from the restaurant, coffee sho-pów, bars, discos and tourist agency, for the mail, bank, conference room, swimming pool and babysitting service. The hotel has full air conditioning, organizes music recitals in the evenings; one/two: 2700/2900 INR.
Hotel Centaur
(*5452223; fax 5452256), Gurgaon Rd, 2 km from the international airport and approx 5 km from the domestic flight terminal. He is big, modern hotel with 376 rooms, swimming pool, fitness room, tennis court, golf course and children's park. The hotel organizes weekend trips for those, who want to get out of town. The gloomy plains do not give the impression of paradise, and the roar of frequently passing airplanes does not add charm to this place. Nevertheless, it is the only hotel located so close to the airport. Room prices are moderate: 1700/1900 INR.
Holiday Inn Crowne Beach
(*3320101; fax 3325335), block from Barakhamba Rd, southeast of Connaught Place, prides itself on its good position, full comfort, an open-air swimming pool on the terrace of the third floor and a non-smoking floor. hotel has 500 rooms; standard one / two costs 4200/4500 INR, apartments are more expensive.
