Railway Museum

The Raił Transport Museum at Chanakyapuri will be a real treat for those interested in an exotic collection of Indian Railways engines. In the museum, you can see the steam engine from 1855 r., still serviceable, and many other peculiarities, like the skull of an elephant, who threw himself on the train with the mail car in 1894 r. Tibet Museum

The tiny Tibet House has a great collection of Tibetan cult items. These items were taken out of Tibet during the flight of the Dalai Lama during the Chinese occupation. There is a shop downstairs with a large selection of Tibetan handicrafts. Lectures and discussion meetings are often held at the museum. Doll Museum

The International Dolls Museum in Nehru House at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg exhibits 6000 puppet with 85 countries. More than a third of the harvest comes from India. One collection in number 500 puppet showcases costumes from all over the subcontinent. The museum is open: wt.-nd., 10.00-17.30.

Craft Museum

The Crafts Museum is located on Ma-thura Rd in the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Grounds in the Aditi Pavilion. A collection of traditional Indian fabric products has been gathered here, metal, wood and ceramics. Gandhi Daran

It is a permanent exhibition of paintings and photographs thematically related to the life and achievements of Mahatma Gandhi. It is located in the territory of the Rajahat. Gandhi Smarak San-grahalaja is also located here, place, in which the items belonging to Gandhi were collected.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum

The building of the current Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum on Safdarjang Rd 1 it was once the residence of Indira Gandhi. The museum provides visitors with some of Indira's personal belongings, for example a sari, she was wearing on the day of the murder (visible blood stains). OLD FORT

Exactly southeast of India Gate, north of Humayun's Mausoleum and Nizamuddin Railway Station stands Purana Kila, Old Fort. The first city of Delhi was to be built here, Indraprastha. Afghan ruler, Sher Shah, which briefly broke the rule of the great moguls, knocking down Humayun's throne, erected a fort in the years 1538-1545 and ruled until a time, when Humayun managed to regain control of India. The solid walls of the fort have three huge gates.

Entering through the south gate will see the octagonal tower, Sher Mandal, built of red sandstone, which later served Humayun as a library.
