Cheap hotels
Visitors to India will find plenty of cheap hotels in this country, starting with dirty "burrows", for which, of course, you pay little, and ending with inexpensive and relatively comfortable hotels. Even there, where you only pay for accommodation for two 120 INR or less, you can always expect fans in the rooms, beds with mosquito nets and bathrooms.
Hotels in this country are divided into "western" (more expensive) and "Indian" (cheaper). The latter are usually modestly furnished, They are also distinguished from the "Western" ones by typical Asian toilets, without toilet bowls, but with two places for the feet. However, this is not necessarily the case, because you can often find a high standard hotel, but equipped with Indian toilets, elsewhere, "western" toilets are offered, but this place deters even the least demanding tourists. In some guesthouses you can even come across toilets, on the edges of which there are footprints!
Although you usually pay for accommodation in single rooms- or double rooms, can happen often, that one more bed is placed in the rooms for two people, which increases profits by approx. 25 %. If you feel like it, you can bargain when paying.
Attention! in the resorts eagerly visited by tourists, accommodation prices go up in the season.
Most of the hotels, not only cheap, works in a 24-hour system. Means, that the accommodation takes place at 20.00, and the check-out of Fr. 20.00. Unfortunately, if someone comes to the city of Fr. 8.00, is forced to wait for a vacant seat until 20.00. These rules are different in each region; sometimes guests leave their rooms at noon, while in the mountain centers, Fr. 9.00 or even 7.00. That is why you should familiarize yourself with the regulations immediately after arriving at the hotel. In some hotels it is possible to extend the stay for an additional few hours, paying half the daily price.

However, the country is covered by a hotel chain, the best of which belong to the Taj Group. Among them is the luxurious Taj Mahal Intercon-tinental in Mumbai, the romantic Rambagh Palaces in Jaipur and the no less attractive Lake Palaces in Udajpur.
